71 nations, 17 sports and 12 days of high entertainment - Commonwealth Games 2010 will certainly give a new identity to Delhi as well as India on a global platform. This 19th edition of Commonwealth Games will be held in Delhi and promote integrity and team spirit. The budget of the entire event is estimated to be around US $ 1.6 billion (which does not include non sports related infrastructure development). To cater to these tourists, all the major tourist destinations near Delhi (like Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Varanasi, Khajuraho, Shimla, Kullu-Manali, Mussoorie etc.) are also being developed to promote India tourism. The success of this event can strengthen India's bid for 2016 Summer Olympics. And with heavy inflow of tourists from all over the world, India tourism will certainly get a superb recognition.
